Won by 14% in North Carolina.
Too Close to Call in Indiana.

You know who the real bad guy in all of this is? The cable new networks. Seriously. If nothing else good comes out of this election year, I hope the power of CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC is CRUSHED UNDER THE BOOT of the elected president's victory. And, of course, by the "elected president", I mean...

... BARACK OBAMA.

*grin* Sorry, but I was getting a little depressed there for awhile, but I'm all better now.

The whole Reverend Wright "controversy" is making me want to tear my hair out. I got into a big argument with a relative over it and they were stuck like a broken record on how Obama "tolerated" Wright's comments about 9/11, which were anti-American. I retorted that, by that logic, we should consider anyone who supports Jerry Falwell and Pat Buchanan anti-American, since both of them indicated, like Wright, that we "deserved" 9/11, albeit for different reasons. My relative's response basically boiled down to, "Nuh-huh! They did not!"

I'm bored with the whole Democratic party presidential nomination delegate race thing. Somewhere along the line, it became a pissing contest instead of two people trying to prove that they are each the best person to represent their party in the upcoming Presidential election. What's the message? Who cares any more? I just wish they'd make a damned decision so we can get on with choosing the next potential f***-up for the next 4 years.

The funny thing is how much cable news pimped Obama during the early parts of the nomination process (definitely through Super Tuesday). Granted the Wright thing is annoying as hell, but I don't know how so many Obama people can hate cable news when they helped propel him so well against the "inevitable" front runner.

See, that's just the problem -- they act as if *they* get to pick the president. They're entirely in the business of telling the public what it wants. It would still bother me if they were (still) pimping my candidate, although I admit the feeling would be mitigated by seeing them dogpile on McCain for awhile.
